LEE FITZGERALD, DDS

 

INSTALLED AS 2001-2002 DCDS PRESIDENT

Dr. Lee Fitzgerald was installed as president of Dallas County Dental Society on May 16, 2001 at the Dallas County Dental Society’s Annual Installation of Officers and Ceremonies. As president, he will direct the activities of the 1350-member organization which represents one of the largest local dental societies in the country.

Dr. Fitzgerald has served the Society in many positions over the years including chairman of the Peer Review Committee and chairman of the Finance Committee. He was an integral part in establishing the Dallas County Dental Society Foundation. Because of his accounting background, he was able to provide direction to the Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer. Dr. Fitzgerald was recognized by the Society in 1996 when he was named New Dentist of the Year. In 2000, Dr. Fitzgerald served as the chairman of the Southwest Dental Conference. Under his direction a premier scientific meeting was orchestrated.

Dr. Fitzgerald is active with many organizations within our community. He is a Rotarian and has served in multiple capacities. He volunteers his time with mission groups, elementary schools, the James and Louise Addison Kiwanis Dental Clinic and the Network of Community Ministries.

Dr. Fitzgerald practices in Richardson as a restorative dentist. He achieved honors on the Dean’s List at the University of Texas majoring in accounting and chemistry. He earned his DDS at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1985. A recipient of the CV Mosby Award, he completed an externship at Parkland Hospital in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Fitzgerald then continued his studies under Drs. Pete Dawson and Mark Piper at the Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1993-1996.
